Gentlemen
Do you think that its possible that the above satnav would not beable to send nav. directions to the MFD on a 2008 Golf R32, or its it just not fitted properly?

It's not fitted properly. You need vcds to check the bap protocol box is either ticked or unticked. Has it just been fitted?
