Title: Door mirror puddle lights
Post by: SunnyGTI on 21 May 2015, 21:11
Hi

We're door mirror puddle lights available on mk6 GTIs? Were they standard or optional extra or part of the luxury/comfort pack?

Thanks

I believe they were part of the optional Luxury Pack, along with folding mirrors. Some have retrofitted them.

Yes they come on Luxary pack, but you can fit them on.

Iv just purchased mine from ebay and going to install them myself. You need a guy to enable them on the cagcom though!

How difficult was it and any links to the kit you bought?

I got this one mate...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGEN-PASSAT-R36-2-0-1-9-3-6-GTI-UNDER-MIRROR-LED-PUDDLE-LIGHT-LAMP-WHITE-/270994492399?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&fits=Plat_Gen%3AMK+VI&hash=item3f1887cbef

Took about 4 hours to fit in, then took it to my mate and enabled it on the vagcom.
They look sick the night

I've looked in to puddle lights On both the door and or mirrors as you need to take the door trim off to install the mirror puddles anyway!

I had a look at this link and decided that it's within my capability but not a priority on my list of things to do!
