Title: What Speedo clocks should I go for?
Post by: LeeOxley on 18 May 2015, 15:32
I heard somewhere that there is a set of clocks you can fit directly which don't set off the immobilizer? Therefore, no coding? Is this actually true? Sounds to good to me.

No - the immobiliser sits in the ECU as well as the dash.

Just get transponders matched to the clocks.

As mentioned the ECU and clocks need coding to each other so that the immobiliser isn't activated but it is possible to have the immobilser switched off on the ECU and im sure ive seen clocks for sale in the past with this done as well but don't quote me on it though.
It's certainly not an off the shelf feature though so the chances of sourcing a deactivated set of clocks is probably quite slim tbh.
