Hi guys,
I'm fitting remote start to my golf and it wants a signal for when the handbrake is on.
I have a brown and brown and black.
Any one know off hand what is the triggered side the makes the light come on?
My volt meter is locked in at work until Monday :(

Suspect I may be missing something, but the switch just makes the contact and therefore the circuit when the lever is raised
-so cant you connect into either cable and get a signal?
Just checked the Haynes wiring chart, the solid brown is earth and the Brown black is positive

you will only get the full voltage on the + side of the bulb as when the power goes through the bulb which is basically a resistor it loses power to light and heat. if there was 12v coming out the -side of bulb we wouldn't need alternators
