Hey guys,
I have a 1.8T AGU which only gets 245 miles to a full tank of fuel, 99% town driving but not ridiculously fast, idles fine and temp sits at 90 only serviced 6 months ago.....any ideas why I get such poor consumption ? also no fault codes coming up.
cheers
Scott

Migh be worth changing the fuel filter if not been done already. I would also check block 032 on vag to see what the fuel trim is sitting at.
-
ok, wil take a look at block 032 tonight...what should the readings be
-
the closest to 0, the better,
worth checking out this http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?1265064

took a while to get around to hooking up to vag com but when i did block 032 all 4 fields say N/A.... any ideas why this is?

99% town driving? Then not surprised you need a lot of fuel. My 1.8 75hp mk3 estate was often empty when only driven short distance in town after 250-300 miles, never mind it has 60 liter tank.

yeah I expect slightly lower mpg but think that really low

My 1.8t aum seems to be running very rich and stinking of fuel, I checked block 32 and idle is -2.3% and partial is -19.5 it keeps bogging and I get funny jerky boost, just fitted new maf, and no difference could this be a bad 02 sensor precat?
-
Not sure mate but I don't get any readings at all on block 032
-
Does the agu ecu support that feature?
-
yeah mate I think so but think it must be different blocks for an agu
-
Yeah probably mate. Hopefully someone knows if my readings are bad and if it's an 02 sensor
