Title: Paint colour!

Hi guys, I'm totally new to the VW world! I bought a MK4 Golf on Friday for a cheeky price of £550 (which was originally advertised for £750) with full leather Recaros, needs a bit of work but still a bargain none-the-less. I was just wondering if anyone knows what colour it is? As it needs a touch up on the front bumper. I know for sure that the bonnet and wings have been re-sprayed from red, and as I've never seen a Golf this colour thought maybe the whole car has been done? Looked at the sticker in the boot for the code but it was too faded.  :angry:

Dont suppose it has a service book theres usually a sticker in there with the details.same one as in the boot

Got yourself a bargain there mate, it's got a US rear bumper....

Colour is Grey Anthracite Pearl

Haha, wouldn't have been my first choice! Do you have any idea what paint code it is? I can't seem to find it anywhere  :shocked:

LC7V is the paint code. Lovely colour but no one can match it other than the dealers. I've tried about 10 places and only the legit VW paint matches it.

Also I would lower that badboy soon as it looks like it's on stilts!

It's only the bottom of the front bumper that needs touching up, won't notice it if it doesn't match. I'll lower it 40-45mm when I get all the main bits sorted first!  :smiley:

I find the paints4u match is excellent.

Rear o/s arch , boot handle and wing mirrors done by me with cans.

I'd agree that the paints4u was the closest but it didn't have that pearlescent shine like the rest of the car. Maybe I got a crap mix or something. But for the love of god stay away from the halfords mix, it came out like forest green!
