I really want to hate this but I find it strangely attractive.
I'd not pay for the kit new but but if it came free with a second hand car then... ?

Hopefully the link will work as we all know what the VW website can be like.

Not a fan - particularly the rear edges look like a halfords special stick on.
Them wheels are bogging for a car thats up for sale!!!

For me one of the reasons silver is successful on these cars is because of the black detailing on the valance etc. The splitter isn't too bad, adds a bit of aggression.
Looks like an afterthought though, so it's a big fat no from me

Not a fan either, it makes looks like a downgraded version.
I'm always amazed at people or dealers putting up grubby pictures of the cars they are trying to sell. Especially private sellers. If you can't be bothered to go to the effort of cleaning the car inside and out in order to sell it, then I highly doubt it's had much care whilst in their ownership.

Uber poo

Not a fan, the car looks better standard, each to their own I guess.

Not my cuppa tea either, IMO you shouldn't mess with the GTD/GTI, their perfect as is

Has my Delorean taken me back to 1985?

Doesn't look awful at least its fairly subtle I guess! Silver isn't the best colour for the Mk7 anyway.

Looks gash

I've woken up today and looked at it and really don't like it now. Seeing it in full screen on the Mac really shows it up as a visually unappealing kit that disguises some of the best styling features of the prettiest car in the range.
On a side note, I visited this dealer to look at a Lapiz R some time ago and the presentation of that wan't what I'd call of professional quality either. Lapiz either looks fantastic when polished or dull as hell if not and this example (admittedly in winter) looked pretty uninspiring for a car they were selling at close to £30k.
Someone obviously disagreed as it didn't hang round too long.

Its not that bad, but this is admittedly after looking at the 'like the new front end' thread. Why would anyone do that to their car? Back on topic I don't really see the point in this kit, it just isn't needed. The MK7s been so well designed why mess with it? Presumably thats why I haven't seen this kit before. Perhaps it looks better in the flesh?

The kit spoils it - remain true to the original I say!

I'd agree but to be fair it'd probably look better if it had some bad-ass wheels on it and a slight drop.
The original looks best and prettiest but if you're going to beef it up a bit then you can't go about it in a half arsed fashion - all or nothing!
