Title: Year 1 service (+ recall)

Took her in for her first service... All good but they did some work under a recall.... Took off the bits of plastic on the side of the rear window and reattached with a different solvent... Apparently some peoples were lifting off?

Yep, loads of people on here had the issue. Including me. Not had mine sorted yet. How much did your service cost you out of interest? and Where at?

They actually replaced my side trims on my first service. All it needed was some new 3M tape but policy was to replace at £50+ each. :shocked:

Service was "free" as I bought the 3 year service plan when I got the car and they didn't charge me for the recall issue

Is your GTD on Longlife servicing? Was that a main dealer quote? Seems pretty reasonable to me!

Is your GTD on Longlife servicing? Was that a main dealer quote? Seems pretty reasonable to me!

Car has only 8k miles and a year old at the end of May, oil change alert popped up this week so I got it booked in, and yes that was a VW main dealer, I was happy with the quote :smiley:

Very good, mine is still showing 10700 until first oil change. Has just ticked over 7900 miles.

Wow, very good price!! I was quoted £165 quid for my first one, I thought that was okay until I read your post ha.

Yea it could be that I went into the dealer personally, must of been my big grumpy face that he gave me a good quote lol, plus I'm in N.ireland too but I doubt that would make much difference.

Haha. I will have to go in to the dealer in person and see what they can do. Is possible to supply your own parts (VW approved) and get them to do the labour?
