Title: Part number for genuine LED rear lights (non dark)

Hi guys

Does anyone have the part numbers for the rear led lights which are not the smoked or dark version please? I am trying to find the part number for the red led rears.

Thanks mate. Yep thinking of upgrading the lights as LED ones look so much better but prefer the non smoked ones.

Have you got the led rears?

Haven't got around to buying them yet. Going with replicas from Xenonz UK as recommended by some here.

Originals are double the cost and for me at least are not worth it.

This might be an option too..:cheaper than dealers and spoke to awesome gti - these are genuine VW parts.

Been away for work and away most weekends so haven't really had time to order or even someone around to receive the delivery! Will hopefully get a chance to order this week.

You going for the xenonz lights?

After quite a bit of research I am probably going to get the £300 xenonz ones too

Awesome GTI ones are £500 and there is a risk that OEM ones might flash or not work properly :/

Other genuine ones are from Poland for more like £400 but not sure I want to buy from overseas...

Yes I'll be going for xenonz. After much research like you I came to the same conclusion, UK based, reasonably priced and decent reputation.

Hi All,

Yes also ordered from Xenonz and awaiting delivery (their new shipment arrives next week) - with regard to coding, I was looking for some advice - I have a 2009 with OEM Xenons  and have been told to use the Golf GTI ROW option for byte 18, but also heard that this option may work and result in side effects such as dim side lights?

After much research, I see that others have used 04 and 15 in byte 18 - any assistance much appreciated,  Thanks.

Here is some information I posted in the Xenon retrofit thread, I have a 2010 GTI with Retrofitted Xenons (without LEDs) and have used this table to get the correct operation.

I have retrofitted OEM Xenons, but without the LEDs, I used 15 in Byte 18, I found the information on this Vortex forum:
MJ2009 with BCM (03xx software)
Encoding   VCDS Byte 18 = 04
Lights go out at the tailgate opens   NO
Error message MFA   Rear fog lamp with Resistance: No
Problem with front parking light (weak light)   NO
LED tailgate light up more when braking   YES

MJ2010 with BCM from KW22/2009 (Software 0537, 0541)
Encoding   Halogen VCDS Byte 18 = 15   Xenon VCDS Byte 18 = 43
Lights go out at the tailgate opens   NO   Update on 0575 / 6 *
Error message MFA   NO   Update on 0575 / 6 *
Problem with front parking light (weak light)   NO   Update on 0575 / 6 *
LED tailgate light up more when braking   NO   Update on 0575 / 6 *

With MJ2010 / BCM 2011 from KW45/2009 (0573 & 0575 Software / 0576)
Encoding   Halogen VCDS Byte 18 = 15   Xenon VCDS Byte 18 = 43
Lights go out at the tailgate opens   YES   YES
Error message MFA   NO   NO
Problem with front parking light (weak light)   NO   NO
LED tailgate light up more when braking   NO   NO

I have a march 2010 with xenons.
After much technical assistance from Dana from ross-tech the makers or vcds/vagcom. The only code we tried that worked fully on mine was 15 the 43 code caused some strainge auto lights behaviour. 04 caused dim sidelights.

I've been thinking of taking my standard colour LED rear lights off of mine.
If any of you want them then I'll seriously consider it.

On a side note, I've checked the part numbers against mine, and it seems the standard led and the r LEDs have the same part numbers... :/ confused.com

The last letters should be different as below.  (01.03.2011>>)
