Title: Is there any way of delaying the build week once it has been confirmed?
Post by: Diehammer on 24 April 2015, 21:38
Just Got confirmed bw21 this morning is there any way to delay this at least a week? I am tempted to add sport and sound which will cost an extra £7 a month or 90% tinted glass because......

Sat Nav is now standard
Winter Pack is now standard
Keyless is now standard

If I am going to do this I need to do it at 8:30am tomorrow as I will be away for the day.

Not a happy bunny

Nope, confirmed is confirmed, irreversible. If you backed out now that car would be built anyway, your dealer would be obliged to take it unless another dealership wanted it as a stock car grab and you'd lose your deposit.

Looks like you haven't  long ordered though,  so it's not all bad, mine will have been an 8 month ordeal if it gets built next week and shipped within 3 weeks of build. VW's uncharacteristic efficiency with your order has saved you some money!

Its very unlikely that you would lose your deposit. I've not read of one case on here. But like MH says, you can't change anything now. The only thing your dealer could do is re order the car. Whether that is worth it only you know.

It would suit me more to get it in September but I think the price would go up quite a bit. I am getting it for £282 a month for a 36 month lease with servicing & maintenance. Even the salesman was surprised.

Just checked the tracker and is now on step 3, so I guess mine will be week21

Seems to be a large number of people getting to stage 3 this week compared to previous weeks.

Agreed - unlikely - unless you simply disappear! The car will be taken as stock and/or made available to other dealerships in the group.

Didn't realise KESSY and Winter Pack were becoming standard, thought they were Estate only and it was just DNS for the hatchback.

EDIT: Just seen the other thread, how annoying! Let us know how you get on OP...

I'm guessing the factory are in RHD mode at the moment so will do a bit batch before going back to LHD.

Getting the Tech pack at £1200 ish is still a bargain then as you've got the car at pre price rise prices, so I'm sure having to put a key in a slot won't be too demanding for you James
Still, you never know your luck...

You've had that many VW's from them as well as Keyless, I'm surprised your not invited to their Xmas do's.
