Title: Golf Mk4 2003 LH Rear Door Lock

First post.  Go easy.  My LH rear door lock failed to operate.  I stripped the door down and removed the lock.  I connected the replacement lock to the plug and tested it and there was no response.  I have contacted the seller who has said to send the lock back but I don't want to waste his time if the problem is with my car.  Is there any way that I can test voltages across the pins on the plug to see if it could be a problem on the car side?
