Title: DTUK FSR+ (push button) map settings?
Post by: Gnasher on 19 April 2015, 09:59
Hi all,

Received my FSR+ tuning box from DTUK (great service as always) a little while ago, but didn't fit it as the car was due it's first service.

Well it's fitted now and I can definitely tell it's quicker, but what are FSR+ box owners opinions on what map to run (and what the effects are).

I'm very happy with the tuning box but there is no real info on what to expect from each setting, which seems a bit of an omission from the literature that comes with it. I've emailed Andrew but was just wondering what other peoples views were.

If I get enough information, I could collate and average peoples opinions on each map (including my own) and have a bit of a guide on here if people were interested?

TIA

I fitted one to a friend's car but it was an early version (running latest software though) therefore having the jumper pins.
The jumper pins were on the same setting as when it was running the earlier map which was the second jumper to the right.
It goes quite well (understatement), no clutch killing torque spike.

I don't know if the GTI runs the same software as the R box but there's a lot of fiddling about with settings reported on the aRse forum amongst all the 'discussions' about how FSR and DSG turn it into the fastest car ever once you've spent half an hour at the traffic lights setting up the launch control...
Only kidding!

Seriously though, I'm not sure if Briskoda owners are a bit more hands on than most of us here as there has been very little discussion on settings and I've no idea if anyone has tried it on a rolling road.
I think Andrew gets more sales from Audi and R owners so tends to concentrate his efforts more there amongst all the other cars he has to answer questions on and test things out.
