Used the air con this morning and the revs kept randomly rising up to about 1k on idle, the lack of cold air coincided with this so I'm thinking the compressor is at fault?
Quite handy it failing now just as the nice weather hits...

just hooked it up to VAG COM and the compressor is actually turning off then back on when the revs drop and rise. No fault codes to speak of and not sure if there are any other sensors to log?

dodgey fuse on the batt cover? corrosion maybe?

Had a good look at all the wires this evening and given them all a good wiggle with the AC running but no obvious break in the circuits...
VAG COM seems to log that the condenser is turning off and on so it's got to be a sensor or something electrical
I then unplugged the pressure sensor and it seems to be slightly wet in there so I am thinking the sensor itself may have failed. I'll grab another one from the scrappy on Friday and change it over, if it solves the problem I'll get a new one. Oh and VAG COM doesn't log a fault even if the pressure sensor is disconnected which is helpful lol
