Phone the dealers mate, I got mine done on recall for free
-
If they are non gen coil packs in there at the mo they might not help you
What engine code mate?
-
cheers for the replys guys Wazzer its an AUM 1.8t 20V i put the delphi coils in and it runs lovly now
sorry the late reply :undecided:

Be warned non gen coils seem to die very quickly, good excuse to upgrade to TFSI coils though
-
how quick is quickly? and how much for a set of TFSI coils or is it worth trying to get a set on recall?
-
If you have genuine coils that are faulty get yourself booked into the dealers to get them to sort it
TFSI coils can be had for as little as £30 a set, then you'll need adapters and then spacers for the coils

To test the coils, start the engine and then one by one unplug the wiring harness at the back of each coilpack if the engine note drops slightly when you unplug one its fine if it doesn't you've found the culprit, swap the bad coil with one of your good ones to double check its not the wiring
