hey guys, does anyone know of a flow test ever being carried out on an agg head? everyone seems to be of the opinion that the pb head flows better but after examining both heads I just cant see how that could be

Both will be roughly the same in terms of flow. Any differences wiill be minimal.
I've just put a large port head from a G60 on an ebay auction that'll work on a PB bottom end if your interested.

cheers jamo but I already have 2 spare digi heads. im noticing second hand ones are getting thin on the ground these days . anyway about the agg v pb head. I was thinking if the agg has a cat and a milder camshaft yet still produces 3 bhp more than the pb engine at the same rpm wouldn't the head flow have to be better? I was reading about that khare fella putting a 285 cam in his agg and getting 138bhp. im pretty sure the same cam in a pb would not give such a massive increase? and rumour has it that fitting a pb cam into an agg gives a very noticeable boost to power. so all this leads me to think that the agg head/manifold is as good as if not better than pb. rant over

Pb cam has slightly more duration than the agg cam from measuring the actual lift they are pretty close.
It definitely gave the agg/ady something but is not more than a few digits.
The pb cam needs to be ground down in one place to fit the agg heads extra bearing surface, I might still have one......
I fitted the same range cam as khare bear and ported and polished the whole intake and exhaust system, balanced the fly and fitted an fd of 3.9.
For an 8v tug it flew along if a little lumpy and thirsty.
in a mk2 it would be a lot of fun as the 2E swap was quite good.
But when you drive an abf mk2 the 8v seems pointless. ....

yeah an abf would be pretty decent in a mk2  but as an everyday car I couldn't justify it. and with the amount of speed cameras going up everywhere these days. I would be bombarded with fpn`s
