Turned on for first time yesterday and not getting cold.
So got it regassed today and still not working!
Wasn't done at a specialist but guy thought it might be the compressor!
he did say as it was low on gas it might go into a safe mode??? Does these cars have that?
If not anybody got a compressor lying around?
-
have heard there is a pressure sensor! That be a possibility??

Them sensors are known to go faulty! (I've sold a good few), Also don't go to VW as the switch is by Hella but about twice the price (£47 from me)

The two times my aircon has failed have been because of a failed pressure switch and failed O-rings. I took mine to a local specialist who charged me about £20 to replace the switch and then £60 for a re-gas, and the second time just charges for a re-gas as they replaced O-rings for free.
If the compressor is gone, you'll hear it grinding and moaning about it, so I'd doubt it's the compressor. They say that as it's a great way to make a lot of money off people...

Well I cant hear any noises from the compressor! It just doesn't kick in! Also the fans don't come on either!
have checked fuzes

Well hopefully getting pressure switch changed today! Fingers crossed.

Well its not the pressure switch!!!
So now need a full VW diagnostic check to see if its the compressor of the control unit or whatever
