Title: help with bucket seat

hi all, i have Autoteknica bucket seats in my mk2 golf but the lever isnt allowing me to slide back and forward, the level pulls the clip out of the teeth on one side but the wire in the middle isnt working and the other side isnt freeing up so it can slide...
i have tried tightening the wire and also using a cable tie to try and keep it open but that hasnt worked either, it doesnt seen to have enough pull on it to open both sides up.
any ideas? so annoying i cant adjust the seat and i have mot in 2 weeks

i think the best solution there is to remove the wire on right side(in picture) and shorten it slightly with a pair of pliers. not sure they test the slide mechanism in mots though :huh: I think as long as seat is secure you should be ok.
