Title: New replacement car on the way....finally
Post by: remlapeel on 31 March 2015, 23:13
After a long drawn out saga with VWFS trying to get me to buy a used R (£33k) and trying to charge me £760 a month over 4 years for the privilege or rejecting my fault addled GTI. I have managed to get to the final agreement of sourcing my own new R and them getting the GTI back in 3 weeks.

Managed to source a Lapiz Blue 3 door DSG with keyless entry, dyno audio, DCC, winter pack and 19" wheels.

Not to the spec I would choose at factory but this one is on a ship to the UK already so will be with me in 2 - 3 weeks.

Cannot wait to get hold of it!

Anyone switched from GTI to R? What are your thoughts on the comparison?

I changed from a GTI PP to a R on Mar 1st. Absolutely loved my GTI and would have happily kept it for 3 years but needed to get the R out of my system :smug:
What can I say.....So far so epic
Not given it the full beans yet as it has only done a few hundred miles but couldn't resist a little play.
When you stick it in race I defy you not to have the biggest grin on your face

BTW. Your spec is not a great deal different to mine. Enjoy it
