Which side of the engine is it coming from mate?
-
Right hand side facing the car
-
Engine temperature sender housing? Side of block.
-
Not exactly sure what that is, I took off the covers and removed air filter for a better look and couldn't see where it was coming from I have seen people talking about leaks from this area of the engine.

Take a look at this :

Common fault. Hard to diagnose. Check for water on top of gearbox.

Housing is plastic so can crack, worth a look

I've got a 1.8T AUM that developed a water leak, also coming from the right hand side of the engine. Got it sorted last week, turned out it was a leaking thermostat housing.

Right hand side facing the car.
The thermostat housing is left-middle, up behind alternator ;)

All I'm saying is the I had a water leak — right hand side, facing the car — and the garage replaced the thermostat housing in order to fix it.
