I have ordered a GTD which I am leasing through Volkswagen. All I have is the quotation with spec stapled to a receipt for my £100 deposit.
At the bottom of the quotation it say that it is valid for 30 days. Does this mean that I have 30 days to commit and since I have paid my deposit the price won't change or does this mean that when I finally get my car they will give me a new price.
Salesman said that this documentation is all I would get before picking up the car.

Just as it says. The quote is valid for 30 days. In those 30 days you can accept or reject it. They should also return your deposit. However, what I cannot understand is why you had to pay a deposit in the first place. I never did.

It gets refunded when I pick the car up then I pay VW finance nearly £2500. So since I have accepted it the price won't change?

Are you aware that five-door manual GTD's are currently available on VW leases via a broker for under 150 quid a month (inc VAT)?

May have been a typo on your price there, £119 and not £199? £199 + £2000 would be rather expensive!

Thank you. Now corrected.

That is just ridiculously cheap Asker! If you're someone buying on finance and bearing in mind the GFV's have dropped so you're less likely to have much equity in the car at the end you'd be mad to pass up on a deal like this if you don't have a high value part exchange and don't do heaps of miles.

A mate of mine would be very interested in a lease. He could've had mine for p/x cost, but I spoke to my salesman about it and my R deal is reliant on my p/x going in to part-subsidise the R savings. With that in mind, my mate is a 15k mile pa user, what's the mileage excess penalty on this 5k miles pa deal? I'm assuming 7.2ppm, far cheaper than the price difference of quoted leases at 10/15k miles pa, can anyone confirm 7.2ppm?
