Title: R Headlights on a GTI
Post by: benmartingolf on 23 March 2015, 11:35
Hi all,

This has probably been covered a few times on here but I thought id ask. I am picking up a GTI in June time hopefully and only realised the the other day that the GTI DRL's are only in the outside U shaped light (sorry for being a little more technical) but the R headlights have both U Shaped lights being DRL's.

Is it an expensive job to change this?

Thanks

I would guess for the parts from a dealer around the £2-£2.5k mark ! - the ones from Kufatec which seem to just be the standard single DRL versions are still £2k

Not worth it in my view just for an additional set of DRL's (no matter how cool they look).

Ah!! definitely not worth it. Thought it could be done for not a huge amount of money.

Thanks for the replies guys

Think there are some Chinese copys knocking around but wouldn't personally trust them.

Wouldn't such things need coding to the car?

I'm sure VAG will find a way to stop you...

Not if its xenon lights already such as on  UK spec GTI or GTD.

Oh and you get LED front indicators too - worth 2k for them alone... OK not really...
