Title: Turbo Intake
Post by: Tornado8 on 21 March 2015, 18:02
I thought I would just check the turbo spindle for movement on the intake side having heard of some turbos failing.
Having removed the inlet pipe and the black plastic housing,  there was a small amount of oil around the join between the turbo and the black plastic housing. The turbo spindle has no movement at all! I am just wondering if there is anything to be concerned about

I think a bit of oil is normal tbh mate, not sure about the spindle tho, way past my knowledge barrier lol

Thanks for that Graham. I just checked the spindle for play as I am going down the Stage 2 tune with either APR or Revo, which is being tested as I speak.

Do me a favour, ask apr if you go with them what they think causes the turbos to go and if its related to start stop... Shark told me thats what Audi told Apr, be interesting to see what they say
