Hi all, I will be a proud owner of a new GTI mk7 next month! Other than the car itself , what GTI-related accessories come with the new car that I should expect from authorized dealer? For example, I would expect to receive a GTI-specific manual, a GTI key fob.
Any others?
Thanks!

TBH I dont think the dealer is required to give you anything GTI-related. I didnt recieve a thing from my dealer. The key fob isnt anything extra, it is standard with the car. The manual is the standard one for all MK7's I believe. At least mine is.
Maybe you can get floor mats and a keyring accessory if your dealer is kind, but they're not required to give you anything extra.

I always thought floor mats were included too.

Depends on dealer. The cloth ones are standard with the car. The rubber ones are not. And I the ones with "GTI" markings on them, I dont know if they're OEM or not. But when we ordered the rubber floor mats for my car, we entered my license plate number, and ordered the ones for my car - We got none GTI-marked ones, so I presume that they're the standard.

Mats are included but no sepcific GTI branding is on them.
-
There are no OEM GTI branded mats AFAIK

I received two umbrellas (small + large) and a GTI mug which I have sitting at my work desk so everyone knows I drive a GTI

Other than the mats which are standard, I received the most obscure item with my GTI. A pencil drawing of a GTI MK7 with my number plate added to it and placed in a card window mount frame. Being a Graphic Designer I felt like I was suppose provide critic on the artists shading technique.

That's pretty cool! lucky you!
I think most of us got the sum total of Jack sh!t GTI related with our cars.

Yes bugger all extra is what you'll get although some dealers are nice than others.

A workmate was asking about my forthcoming R today and I was telling him about the deal and how it's the first time I haven't gotten "free" GAP with the car for a while. He replied "if you get so much as a bunch of flowers free for the missus you haven't got the best deal. When you've milked them dry on the negotiation, at handover they'll almost be glad to see the back of you".

Chris,
I think the GAP we got lasts for 3 years.
