So my parking sensors stopped working a while back. The Stealers wanted £200 just to find out what was wrong with them  At the time I thought sod it I'll make do without! I think now may be the time to get them fixed. Needless to say I'll be taking it to my local Indy, not the stealer.
Im told it could just be a simple sensor fault or a more costly problem with the control unit. Has anyone else had a problem with their parking sensors? If so how much do you think it may cost to fix?

A diagnostic scan with VCDS would pinpoint the exact problem
If its simply a sensor then it would be a case of popping out the old one and fitting a new one.
Until you have it diagnosed then its hard to give an approx repair cost :undecided:

See one of my previous posts
I took mine to a VW independant to diagnose, and it turned out to be a fault with the part that give you the noise (part located under the scuttle panel) which only cost a few pounds to fix.
I was concerned it might be a sensor, but luckily it was something much easier. Steelers will charge the earth, so go the independant route

Snooze.
If you don't have VCDS. I live in Winchester but work in Basingstoke so if you want to meet up, i can run a quick scan for you. :)
