Title: Abs sensor failure
Post by: Rogerhp on 15 March 2015, 20:45
Have read horror tales, and hoping this is not as common as it appears(. 56) plate Gti. Was considering putting the car service through an independant but as it's full vwsh at present it may be better to keep that going.  Any thoughts?

Are you on about the brake pressure sensor fault within the ABS pump?

If you are then have no fear as VW will repair it FOC as its a safety issue

I just had mine repaired on my A3 and I dont have any Audi service history (serviced independently). I had to dig my heals in but the fact you got full VWFSH uo to this point will make things easier

Basically they look at brand loyalty when

Thanks for that.Seems to have been a wide variety of responses by VW to this problem.Users in some cases would only consider cars up to 6 years old. Trust your experience is the norm. Thanks again.

Ha my experience is anything but normal   i had to deal with Audi who apparently have no knowledge of such a common fault

VW will consider all cars regardless of age and mileage; just dig your heals in should you encounter the fault
