If that's off the brake pedal assembly, i'd be thinking twice about driving it in case the brake assembly fails - perhaps get VW assistance out to confirm the car is roadworthy first?

My baby is now at the dealers   Might not be fixed till Wednesday, they agreed that it is the locking thread from the clutch pedal.

So I have a little Rock Up! to wiz around in for the next few days.  :undecided:

Got my baby back now   All fixed.

The dealers told me that there was now a six month wait for a GTI, is that correct????????????????

They also had a Polo GTI in the show room, looked very nice in white.

3 months wait for Gti (manual) according to Capitol VW in Wales. According to spec I guess.

I thought it would be around three months, that's about what I waited for mine.  They probably said six months because my husband is changing his scirocco for a Carbon Grey GTI at the end of the year and they think that he will order it a bit earlier.

Part No 5Q2  721 is called a securing ring. Mine fell out too and, after speaking to my local VW dealer fixed it myself.
If you open the drop down door under the light switch, squeeze the door together to remove it you can get to where it fell out from at the top of the brake pedal bracket. It simply pushes back in. I cannot see that it actually performs any useful function.

9/10 women I know would suggest that part be renamed "husband"!!

I just got my build week after ordering about 2 weeks ago. I've ordered a PP GTI DSG 5dr.
