Title: HELP: Fitting Mk3 Front Fog Lights
Post by: chappers02 on 17 September 2005, 18:41
I've just brought some front fogs off E-Bay. I got the lights and a part of the loom.

Have read all the posts on the mk3 section but still cant work out how to fit em!

I;ve fitted the actual lights and the switch, but cant sort out the wiring. All I got are the grey & yellow wires with connectors which plug into the back of the fogs & a brown wire (presumably earth wire).

Do I have to connect into the rest of the loom somehow?! If so, does anyone know which wire I have to connect into?!    :undecided:

Have a look at the loom running across the slam panel you will find a round 19 pin multi plug .
If you've got the genuine terminal on the fog loom you should be able to fit it in to the plug at No 5 ( which should have a small rubber blanking plug in it) which corresponds to the Grey/yellow  ( Live Feed from switch ) on the other side of the plug.
The earth is located in the front lighting loom but you may find it easier to extend it to one of the spare 8mm threaded terminals on the battery earth clamp . ( thats what I did when I made up my own loom )

Hope this helps    ( and also make sense )  :undecided:
