I have noticed a few things online that mention VW change the spec of their cars around build week 22 which will be the end of May.
I ordered my GTD last thursday and the order is now with the factory but build date is expected to be around week 22. My question is will i get the new spec if there is any change or the old spec?
There is talk about a larger screen for the stereo and Apple Carplay coming this year.

If your car is built after the date VW start incorporating any 2016 changes, then your car should automatically get them.

Thanks wasn't sure what their policy would be. Hopefully they make keyless entry and the rear view camera standard then give me my money back for them. They could also add in the sat nav as well, it's ridiculous that you get it standard in a GT but not in a GTD/GTI

I know historically that isn't true - a friend's Passat proved that point a few years back!
If you've paid for it, you've paid for it even if they've now starting making them with it as standard.
The argument from VW, you entered into a contract to pay X for a car with A,B,C spec and we've delivered it as per the agreement.
Tough luck!

Doesn't work like that at all and I'm afraid that dealer had pulled a fast one. When I ordered the gtd I specced the colour MFD thinking it would be the same as what was on my tiguan, it wasn't by the way. Ordered the car on 1st April 2013 and a few weeks later VW were obviously embarrassed to ask money from people for such a low quality colour mfd they made it standard. Got money back on deal from dealer and to be honest if I'd paid for the colour mfd I'd have been really kicking off big style as it is s4ite!!
