Hi Guys, I've just been given my mk3 as a 21st present from my grandfather. It's a 2.0 8v, I love the thing, its in beautiful condition so now it needs a new owner to breathe some life into it.
First on the cards is a stainless pipe as the current one is blowing. I'm not too knowledgeable with this side of things so I was wondering if you could help me out...
What do you suggest? I'm willing to spend up to £300, I don't want anything too in your face load but I want it to sound sweet. Should I be updating my manifold also? is fitment a worry if I buy online or should I consider a custom build?
All help greatly appreciated, cheers, Dan

not alot to be gained with an exhaust system on 8v mk3.im running a full 16v system on mine bigger bore and different tail pipes but i had nos middle and rear pipe come up for peanuts.
i see your in south wales if your after a stainless system built then charlie at pro speed is the only person i would recommend he's done a couple of systems for v6 vans including a twin 3" system for my s4 powered bus top job it is too.

Just get a full Jetex system

Decided to go with a full custom manifold and exhaust system from pro-speed. Had a few other people recommend them and another of my mates is a happy customer of theirs so it seems like the best thing to do, thanks for your help :)

Manifold is a waste of time, standard one is not that restrictive.

As above, waste of money.

Careful they snap if not perfectly made or fitted. ......

Make sure it has flexi join on manifold or just after manifold.
