Title: clifford alarm draining battery
Post by: vw_golf_nutter on 28 February 2015, 20:12
Hi all,
im picking up my new car tomorrow, a 1989 golf gti 16v  :smug:
the guy said that the battery drains in about 48hrs though if it isnt driven, he said its the clifford alarm doing it. The alarm is disarmed anyway as he has lost the keyfob for it. Not sure where to start. Can i just take the alarm off? It wont go off or anything will it? Ive googled and apparently this is quite common for alarms to drain the battery.
Anyone got an experience with this?

Off-topic, bit good news about being back in a golf!!

Followed your Cabrio threads closely as I've just bought one, and needed some info!! Good work
