Hi can someone help me, After the engine gets up to temp and the engine begins to cool down the golf won't idle again, just keeps stalling. I took it to the garage asking him to find out what it was, he cleaned the carb out and the jets and charged me 88 pound. YES it worked a treat for an hour. Then i turned her off and its now just as bad.
Points:
The AA put a wire from battery to carb saying its an earth problem.
Next day started to stall again.
Temp gauge inconsistent.
I called the garage and he said it's likely to be a crack in the carb. After spending the money replenishing it, i'm angry if it needs a carb.
Please help me and give me some advice... :angry: :angry:
