Are the settings remembered or do they default back to normal when the ignition is on/off? Same for dcc.
Thanks.

My settings are remembered, if i turn off in comfort mode, i start in comfort mode but i know some people have had issues with this
-
Never had any issues with mine either. I am sure it has been mentioned that each key remembers the settings for the mirror drop in reverse but can't say I have noticed anything.

There is definitely a noticeable increase in throttle response if you start in sport, change to normal and then back to sport.

If you have an issue it does. I had that issue and it was fixed on my first service when there was an ECU software update.

hmm im gonna have to try this on the way home tonight. Do i have to drive a bit or just do it stationary?

I believe they all look like they are in the correct mode but in reality they are all actually in normal mode, until you reselect.

Nope, mine is definitely in sport when it says it is....now.
Prior to my service, the car would give me all sport characteristics (steering, soundaktor etc) except the actual throttle response when sat in sport journey after journey. The throttle response was normal though. Flick it out of Sport and back in then the engine would perk up and the car would get a little thirstier.
Since the software update this no longer happens - sport is sport and changing modes to come back doesn't affect the throttle response at all.
A problem that some of us had (and some still have), and some haven't - my dad's GTD wasn't affected but mine was.

Any idea what the software update is called? Mine will be in for a service soon and I wouldn't mind them doing it.

No idea, not something they intentionally fixed. I asked them to take a look while it was in for a service, they said they'd trawled the VW bulletins for a solution from Germany but there wasn't one. They applied some routine software updates and it was gone (they didn't know it had been fixed).

I have DCC and still have the issues with Sport mode as I reported in above post defaulting to Normal engine mode after engine restart although other Sport features are active (like MH has said). I had the 45D4 software update which didn't fix the issue but maybe there is another software update when in for service as mine was booked in for checking this exact driver profile issue?!?!?
I was told by VW the 45D4 would only fix reported issues on the car, my issue was not reporting as a fault so I think MonkeyHanger either got lucky or a different software update was applied, or other contributing factors (different specs etc affecting how the software update was applied...)
What I have also noticed is that Comfort mode when left on before and after engine restart, the car feels very responsive, more so than normal, anyone else experience this?
Seems my modes are really messed up

Is there any way a VCDS scan would reveal what update I got?
