Title: seat belt chime

hi there my car is in for its mot this morning and the seat belt chime seat sensor is buggered it constantly chimes I got over this buy simply disconnect the sensor under the seat ,,should I reconnect it for the mot or leave it disconnected ,,,,,,,,,, will this fail the mot

Get it coded out. Find someone with VAGCOM / VCDS

well said ,,the car passed so ive disconnected the sensor doing my head in lol    cheers again

unless it's driver's seat it's better to reconnect and get fault fixed (pretty sure it uses it for passenger detection - airbag deployment) and just get it coded out. I disabled it on my mk7 with VCDS, can be done on mk5 too.
