I just read that aum injectors are larger than agu,is this true?
-
Yes
AGU 150 205cc
AUM 150 314cc
(@3 bar)
-
Ah good stuff!,so next question,is it worth fitting aum injectors to my agu just before a stage 2 remap or will my agu injectors be enough, whats the first thing to max out,i have ko3s ,front mount, tip, forge actuator etc
-
you can't put AUM injectors in an AGU. For stage 2 you can go up to around 220bhp without the need for bigger injectors
-
God dam it I thought they were interchangeable ,ok thanks for the bad news wazzer ,will the agu injectors be at 100% at 220 then or is it the ko3s that gets weezy
-
Wazzers correct there, they're not interchangeable. It's recommended to upgrade the AGU injectors when people fit k03s or larger
-
Had ko3s on for around 8 months with agu injectors and a map for ko3,works well enough but its time to get it all mapped properly for the hardware that's on my car,its just some aum injectors were going begging that's why I asked the question, some are saying I can use aum injectors if I fit the bigger injector seats which simply unscrew ,so I still have that option to explore, thanks for your input so far
-
The injectors will be fine while it's running what it was mapped for, it's when you have your k03s mapped them agu injectors will likely struggle. If you want to use aum/auq injectors, it's worth noting the aum/auq injectors are shorter than the AGU injectors.
-
My standard injectors were maxed just before 230bhp
-
Right so from peoples experience what's the injector of choice for a mapped ko3s as this is the first thing to max out
-
It's best to consult with your tuner what he prefers as they're the one mapping it. They may already have a file ready for an AGU on a particular set of injectors in which case it would save them some time. (Being an old car it's likely they will have files for just about every imaginable setup, but check with them first)
Flow of popular injector upgrades for AGU can be found in this thread:

I run the Calibra yellows in mine. K03s should run fine with them, move up to a K03 hybrid/K04 and you'll more than likely need Saab reds.
Be mindful of the part numbers when you look for any injectors though and always get them checked over for flow/spray pattern before you fit them

Thankyou guys
