Title: footwell lights

hi all, new to the forum. ive just bought a golf gti 2.0 ( I know I should of got the 1.8t) but I was wondering if any of you nice people would know what cable to cut into so that when I put lights in it will go on with the doors open? probably a very simple thing but many thanks for helping.

I'll be doing this soon, I'll be tapping into the positive wire from the interior light...

I did that and it works well and is fairly straight forward
