Title: Rear Splash guards
Post by: stanmoar on 04 February 2015, 12:41
Hi folks, just had a R32 break set up fitted to my Mk6 Gtd, I bought rear splash guards for a mk5 R32

But they are not right, anyone know what splash guards would fit??

I'm guessing maybe the mk6 R would be the correct ones.

Thanks in advance

Stan

Mk6 R rear guards are the same as Mk5 R32 ones, neither will fit 2wd models as the 4wd rear hubs are different...
New guards are not needed to be honest, just give the original guards a good shove inwards and they will clear just fine
If you're desperate to fit new ones then I beleive the Eos V6 rear ones 'may' fit as that had the larger rear brakes but on a 2wd platform, any new guards are a PITA to fit though as you have to pull the rear hub/bearing!
