Title: Switching to sport using DSG stick
Post by: Sizmore on 01 February 2015, 07:52
Hi

When driving with normal driving profile selected and using the stick to put it into sport mode, the steering doesnt change and neither does the note from the sound actuator. If I select sport mode using the mode button they both work fine. This has only started happening recently. Anyone had this happen and what you think may be the likely cause.

Cheers

The gearlever 'Sport' selection only affects the throttle and gear change revs.  If you have the car set to Sport via the switch then that affects everything inc the LSD.

If you select sport from the switch as your default then after a stop and restart everything will still be in 'Sport' except the gearbox will be in normal until you snick the lever back - to protect the mechanicals from savage operation when everything is cold, especially the DSG oil
