Title: Clicking noise with steering?
Post by: CL/mk7GTI on 21 January 2015, 17:32
Picked up my brand new mk7 gti last week and loving it so far. Just one thing bugging me, when turning at slow speeds near full lock i get a click sound from the steering both ways. This normal?

Rubber cv boots could be sticking. Take it back and get them to check.

Just an update, called to VW and they need it in so they can look at it. Booked in Thursday. Fingers crossed it's a straight forward fix!

Well problem was diagnosed at VW today, apparently i need a new steering rack. Getting it replaced and will have car back tomorrow afternoon. Shocking really, only done 300 miles.
Hopefully this resolves the clicking steering, otherwise it will be straight back!
