Does anyone know much about Premier Performance dash clocks for the MK2? Have seen a set, brushed steel dials, very nice looking. Apparently very limited edition, but does anybody know what mechanism they use(Motometer or VDO)? I need some new clocks, and these would be nice if I could get them for a reasonable price.........Opinions please..... :undecided: :undecided:

near impossible to get, depending on who you speak to ...they don't make them, but apparently they do?!?!? all depends on who you know i think

I heard they were rare - hopefully they are nothing to do with Premier in Northampton...... Would they solve my dial problems though? I was just thinking that if they are based on Motometer clocks, I'm gonna get the same problems............
-
they are everything to do with premier in northampton. one and the same in fact!

I should think they are sh*te then judging by my experiences! Just get some normal ones I reckon............
-
are your clocks knackered then? if so the premier ones are just fancy faces and won't do squat. they work on vdo i believe.
oh and while rare i've seen a few sets going at shows. think they only cost about £30 brand new. like i said it all depends on whether your in with the premier/ edition 38 boys as to whether you can get a set. they still make 'em so i'm told but only for 'special' customers

Think I need new clocks, my Motometers are playing up constantly. The Premier ones are on ebay at the mo - finish today, complete dash clock pod, not just dials. I'm definitely not "in" with them, they ripped me off, hence the bitterness..................

ahhh i see. then yeah the premier ones won't sort yours out. not sure about using motormeter and swapping to vdo?

Got my eye on some VDO 16v clocks at the moment - presumably they would be ok and work better than the Motometer clocks. Premier are probably fine for some people, but I just felt like they shafted me - I wasn't worthy to be part of the gang as it were. Story of my life lol

Not sure what all this VDO etc talk is but there is another site that sells metal dials.
http://82.112.113.87/acatalog/Volkswagon.html
The company's called Metal Monkey. The clocks on the site look like 8v only but they may do custom ones. They can also customise the number colours etc

^^^ look nice but yikes are they expensive!
