Title: Steering wheel controls
Post by: Suklpm on 14 January 2015, 08:29
I can do most things from the steering wheel apart from change media source - I still find myself hitting the media button on the main unit... Is there a way to do this from the steering wheel controls?

Unless you specced voice control with the discover nav i'm afraid not.

Can you do that with voice control?

The annoying thing with voice control is that you can only control the function that is set on the NavPro (eg radio, phone, media etc) and the only way to change the function on the NavPro is to press the appropriate function button on the NavPro...

I can't be the only one that thinks this is a major shortcoming :D

Can you activate voice control with VCDS or is it another module?

Having a play earlier it seems yes,  voice control can select "next media source"  and you Can switch modes unlike what I said earlier by saying any of the mode  button names.  So I was wrong earlier but have learnt something new thanks to this thread!
