Typically they are meant to be gapped between 0.028" and 0.032". Mine have just been gapped to 0.030 and it's running the smoothest it's been in a long while.

I gapped my mates to 0.40 and they've been fine. I want to do this on my Golf soon...

I must admit, I have been looking into this recently after reading a few people mention the Iridium were a bit cr@p.

I just cant find a guide that tells me if I need 1 or 2 ranges colder... and then what to gap them at.

If anyone could give me an idea that would be good. I miss my Denso IK22s but they are frighteningly expensive even compared to Iridiums..

I had NGK PFR7Q which are IIRC 1 range colder than stock.

No issues and will be changing to these again when next servicing.
