Title: Luggage compartment warning light on when boot closed?

This is a strange one. I replaced the boot catch and for a week it was fine - however the feed pipe was still leaking for the washer. Fixed that and now there seems to be a problem between that and the rear de-mister. When I push the de-mist button the warning light goes out, but when I switch the de-mist back off the warning light for boot comes on again. Would the water have fried the micro switch on the new boot catch and caused this or should I look for something else before I order another boot catch?

Also noticed tonight that when the radio was on there was a marked difference in the reception when the rear de-mist was on. The reception was poor when on and perfect when de-mist was switched off!
