Title: advice please mk4 gti 1,8t
Post by: dan31 on 10 January 2015, 19:51
hi guys so ive been to look at a 2002 gti 1,8t today its got 109k on clock. checked it over all seems ok

small issue with rear door wont open from inside feels like the cables not connected, but does lock with keyfob and can be opened from outside, probably not a HUGE issue,

the bit that bothered me was on test drive when i floored it , it was very hesitant the full power then hesitant again just enuff to notice it,    so i plugged me vag405 in, and got error code po118 temperature sensor, now am i right in thinking this is the green top sensor?  would this cause the car to be a bit hesitant?

he has paper work from 2002 saying coil pack recoil from vw, so i presume the coil packs were replaced under a recall

so the deal on the table is my w reg 115k 1,se bora plus £500 for the golf  which i think is a good deal.

any help is appreciated as im close to buying but was unsure of the fault

thanks ive replaced the temp sensor on my bora, so im ok with doing it myself,  would it cause the hesitant issue in acceleration ?

when you pull the door lock from inside theres nothing on the handle it just flaps so im presuming its the cable rather than child lock
