If you make a note of the VIN and write to VW customer services UK, then yes they should be able to help. You could try a dealer first although they are sometimes not as *helpfull*

You could give this a go, though it appears to have been updated last in 2012.

Somewhere in the boot there should be the specification/service sticker listing all the spec codes (probably around the spare wheel well).  If you type all the codes into the VAG decoder below, seperated by a semi colon and press decode, it should tell you what you've got.

Just seen your pic in the other thread, looks like a lovely GTD you got there! Pretty rare to see one on Khartoum wheels too, I think they're a VW accessory rather than factory fit so I guess it would've left the factory with something else? Either way they look good .

Is the number plate personal or is your username based off the plate?

If its just the general standard spec for a 2012 GTD you're after then look here - http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/assets/common/pdf/pricelists/golf-vi-pricelist.pdf

If you've got the original car manual/handbook, the same spec sticker is usually just inside the front cover.  Sorry don't know about the alloy code.

Seen your car in the photo thread - lovely looking GTD

No idea how to find out exactly which wheels unfortunately. 7.5J x 18 doesn't really narrow at down as I think Charlestons, Serrons and your Khartoums all fit that description.

Had a feeling might be private plate but I like the fact that it fits the format of normal plate.

We could do with someone with factory Charleston Shadows to check their data sticker, as those would have been the factory fitted wheels.

Just checked my data sticker as I specc'd Charleston Shadows on my GTD as a factory option (got 18" VW Rotary's on the car at present). Data sticker includes code CV1, so CV1 = Charleston Shadows.
