Found this under my spare tyre rattling around loose. Summat to do with my keyless system I think but shouldn't it be plug into something...

If everything works mate i wouldn't worry, you'll often find spare bits n bobs under spare wheels and carpets, when they're building them they drop em in with the intention of fitting but get missed/forgotten so get another out the box! :grin:

is it for detecting that the key has been left in the boot, possibly prevents locking the car. Ford keyless can detect if a key is on the boot

Depends were abouts you found it. It looks like there are a few in the car.

Best put it back in the boot then, seems strange that it was loose tho, there may be another one in the boot but best not to risk it

I would have though that there is a wiring connector on the end, I suppose if its under warranty you could say to VW you found this item in the boot and get them to check yours is fitted correctly - just in case.

Yeah might do. I can confirm that the anti boot lock thing does work tho
