i think you'll find a good few inches of slack wire if you pull it up from the top, soldering would be best though.. but whichever way you connect, wrap it in plenty of insulating tape. dont want water dripping down your window onto the wires and buggering up your alarm.

I got one of these and they look great. Suprised how many people come up and ask about it. I didn't put mine in. I gave it to the guy who was putting in my clifford to do as he'd be removing panels. What he did say though is that it only works one way. So check your wires before you permenatly attach them. if it doesn't work one way, switch the wires and try it the other. I was going to run a wire over to do my passenger door too but not sure now. With the clifford in there is 3 flashing blue lights and looks like a disco as it is, so might just leave the passenger door.

i'll source a pair of blue l,e,d's and build you a set, the surrounds are only about 30p each, i mostly built em for mk3's so don't have any surrounds in for Mk4, but any more orders, pm me, and if i get enough interest, i'll get a sh!t load and build any1 a set, i charge a tenner a pair, not per side as on flee-bay..

Apparently there is some wires in the passenger side door that can be picked up, Its just a case of findind out which ones.

I found out this after i ran mine from the drivers side.

Here you go, Don't quote me on it as i haven't tried it.

The positive connection (green with a lilac stripe) has to go into pin 26 on the passenger side electric window connector, the earth wire (brown with a blue stripe) has to go to ground, before connecting the led a simple way to test this is to put a wire into pin 26 and connect a multimeter to it , when you arm the alarm there should be a constant or flashing 12v supply when armed!!
