dizze, whats your car like at putting down all your turbo power?
-
all the depends how long you can hold off ramming your right foot to the floor!
if you do it straight away you'll go no where. If you can resist until 2nd (or 3rd in the wet) then you're ok.
I have no idea what it's going to be like when the power is up'd to 280bhp

Dizzie hows it going?
We have just fitted a quiffe box it makes all the difference, worth the money for sure.
Yes you have to hold on tight it pulls you about, but on the bends it sucks you down.
Still have spinning up problems but nothing like it was, might make it down the 1/4 miles this year without spinning all the way!

Claire, or Gary lol. It's getting there slowly. I actually wrote the spec of my engine out ready for my website page about the car. here it is:
Four cylinder, 1.8 20 valve turbo engine from Audi TT (AUQ), KKK k04 turbo with Forge polished billet alloy actuator, Large front mounted intercooler, Bailey DV30 polished alloy diverter valve, polished/ported 20v head, port matched inlet and exhaust manifolds, Custom 3†turbo intake pipe, SCAT 4340 H beam forged lightweight balanced con rods, Audi S3 low compression pistons (9.0:1), ARP 2000 big end bolts, Topline race spec big end shells, Lightened and balanced VR6 flywheel, lightened and balanced forged crankshaft, DTA EXP48 standalone engine management, K-jet high pressure fuel pump, Grey TT injectors, Bosch 4bar fuel pressure regulator, Polished inlet manifold, 2E throttle body, Polished rocker cover, Mocal 12 row oil cooler with remote thermostat, Prospeed built exhaust system consisting of 3†downpipe into 2.5†full system with single 4†tailpipe, Quikshift large cone air filter, G60 gearbox with Sachs VR6 clutch.
These are the bits I need to complete it: Oil pump, head bolts, aux drive belt and every gasket the engine needs. then I can build it back into 1 peice. I've gotta then get the downpipe made up and joined to the system I had built for it last year and a custom intake built up.

Thats a fair whack of work there Diz
-
do it once. do it right :D
-
so true...."measure twice, cut once"
Dunno why i said that. Is gonna be a blinder when you have it all back.
-
back in 1 peice lol. I have a bottom end with 4 shiney piston heads to look at at the moment lol and a freshly painted head next to it!
-
Question, you have a weeks holiday, you should have it back together now
Only thing i have planned for mine is to slam it, but i am skint and gotta save for my last two years of uni
-
I have no money to buy those bits I need though. I can't do anything more to it without them :(
-
Dizzy great stuff you have done loads since last time i heard from you
Glad everything is just being done once and right the first time ;-)
