hi guys have not been around for near a year but a friend of mine asked me for some help but I don't have a clue!!
he has been given a set of really nice 5x112 ET45 8.5J FRONTS 9.5J REARS and wants to fit them to his mk4!!
what will he need to get them to fit???
any help would be great
and links to adaptors or fitting would be a great help

I'm not too clever with ET's and stuff
But your friend will need 5x100 (mk4 golf) to 5x112 wheel adapters..
These will probably have to be bolt on adapters as hes changing the bolt pattern thing from 100-112
So will probably be 18mm spacers and above (as the wheel bolts will need enough material to thread into).
He's got staggered set of wheels, and with the spacers/adapters he will have abit of poke, so MAY need to roll the arches or fit tyres with a stretch to stay legal. (I think we fail mots if you can see the tread of the tyre sticking out of the arch when you look down onto the tyre from the top)
Also when fitting adapters/spacers to the front axle, good to have a mate on the foot brake or you'll be there all day lol
Hope this helps

fronts SHOULD be ok as 15mm adapters will take them down to ET30 but the 8.5 may set them out further than the arch but not by much. A stretched tyre should take care of this though.
Rears should be fine, will probably need a stretch to get them to keep the tread inside too
This is all off the top of my head though so please don't take it as gospel. Best way is to try them on there really
