Title: hi
Post by: daveedub on 09 December 2014, 19:15
hi everyone,

just signed up here after buying my 2nd gti, a candy white 3dr mk6. A few of you may already know me from ukmkivs forum which I've been on over the last 7 years.
Ride wise the mk6 is bog standard still despite owning it a whole 4 days, but my other toy is a 3dr satin silver mk4 gti, agu with 150k on the clock and until last Friday used as my daily drive and for occasional trackday & ring trips. It's running a ko3s with stage 2 r-tech remap, full apr turbo back exhaust, piperx filter, forge silicon hoses and recirc valve, catch can, lsd, r32 cast wishbone set-up on Bilstein b14s and fully polybushed, front & rear strut braces, 330mm ap racing 2pc discs and cupra r brembos with ds2500 pads, and r32 rears with various sets of wheels in 17 & 18". plan is to strip the interior fit the front mount that's sat in garage, fit couple of bucket seats, a cage and up the power to 280bhp for some more trackday fun. will probably post some pics up of both cars soon

hi seabrook132, I'm enjoyin the midrange torque of the mk6 so far. plan to keep it fairly std for a while to concentrate on getting the mk4 fully track prepped...but we all know that things rarely stay std for long ;)

Hi Booth11,
will try and get some pics up once the mk6 is clean. not done any mods to the 6 yet and the priority is definitely getting the mk4 caged and ready for few track days next year....then I can start to play with the mk6
