Hello al my first question on the forum , just some info would 18" diameter wheels fit on a standard Mk3 Golf GTI not lowered or anything standard hight oh by the way mine has a 5 stud 5x100 if it make any difference at all, cos I know some Mk3 GTI's are 4 stud

Here's where you need to get into wheel width, offset and tyre size. All been covered many times before so have a search.
18's aren't impossible but..... will look pretty horrendous at standard ride height.

No they wont. The shock spring cup will sit on the tyre. Definitely need coilovers.

All mk3 gti's are 5 stud,as are 16v and vr6.

Pointless and will look daft at standard height plus will be horrid to drive.
Lowered with 16" is the better option.

18s? Jesus 17 look horrendous. 16 is perfect, 15 of you want to go really low
